Mia & Cale - Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf, NSW

Mia and Cale are two good friends of mine so naturally this wedding had some extra meaning for me.

They met while studying at UTS and survived all the big alcohol-fuelled nights that student life brings, probably because these two are the picture of strength and maturity. Claire, the maid-of-honour spoke of Mia’s strength when recounting a moment in high-school when Claire and some other 15 year old girls were self-consciously discussing insecurities about their own appearances. Mia responded to this saying “I love myself and I love my body”.

There was not even a hint of nerves from these two (maybe they’re just that good at hiding it) they were the same genuine and warm souls they always are. They brought out the best in their friends and family by truly enjoying the day themselves.

My favourite moment: During the photo-shoot 3 friends were enjoying some wine at the end of the wharf so I asked them to prepare to judge the next pose competition. The bridal party then dropped some hot poses and Lexie (the bridesmaid on the end) was announced the winner out of sheer commitment.
